Thankful Thursday #6: Salvation Army Kettle Bags

What I did to help others this week:

salvation army

The Salvation Army works with communities around the world to provide disaster relief and aid. Each year, many retailers allow the Salvation Army to collect monetary donations in front of their businesses during the Christmas season by having a person with a red kettle ringing a bell. These workers need a place to stow their personal items and paperwork during their shifts so the Salvation Army sent a request on Volunteer Match for help sewing the bags.

The division I’m working with needs 18 bags so this week I’m working to get them stitched up and sent!

This week I am most thankful for:

My best friend, MJ, who turned 60 on Monday. We’ve been friends for twenty years and I’m looking forward to another twenty!
